More demos booked, vision and product
Product and moat
Today I spent most of the time heads down on the product. But also thinking about something bigger: our moat and where this company is actually going.
In a world where anyone can one-shot almost any software with Claude, you have to have a real answer to the question: what makes your product different? Not a feature. A reason to exist.
Our vision will change a lot, I still believe that. But understanding where it's all heading and how to use today's progress to accelerate tomorrow's is essential. Compounding only works if you know the direction.
Sometimes when you're grinding through those monotonous days, you start to actually appreciate the small things. Meeting a founder on the train, going to events, or just spending time with friends.
But those monotonous days are the actual work. The work nobody sees. The work that will make the difference in the final product.
Demos
We booked 3 more demos for next week. That's exciting.
Today I also learned a lot about our competitors. Just how the market is structured, and how tight the relationship actually is between brokers and acquisition teams. At the end of the day everyone just wants to make more money. That's the whole game.
Lowkey, Antler gives some decent credits. We just got access to the ChatGPT Business plan for our team, which is already accelerating the process. Those 45M tokens we burned were gone in seconds. That's 50% of a monthly business plan just like that.
Audio overviews
I started adding audio overviews to essays. The idea is simple: some people prefer listening over reading. If the content is good, it should work in both formats.
July 4th
Was surprised how many people are taking July 3 to 5 off. I usually take a day off once every few months, so it feels foreign. But I get it.
