More heads-down on product, and the World Cup show
Today was a lot more heads-down on product. Less calls, more building, which felt good after a stretch of demos and pitch talk. Some days the best move isn't another call, it's just closing the laptop lid on distractions and shipping.
The World Cup is such a huge show. I watched Argentina vs Switzerland and it reminded me how different sports feel when the whole world is actually watching at the same time. Something about a match like that pulls you out of founder mode for a couple hours, in a good way. I think everyone building something intense needs a release valve like that, otherwise you burn out before the real finish line.
Small win of the day: no meetings, no pitch, just me and the code. Sometimes that's the reset you didn't know you needed.
